TRENISE’s dream job as a child was to be the next Steve Irwin or to be like the Kratt Brothers and host a wildlife show for children. While she has since pursued other paths as an adult, she still holds out hope that one day, this dream will come true.

TRENISE loves to go and see and do. Many of her best story ideas have come from the places she’s traveled and people she’s met around the world. She’s visited 25 states, 20 countries and counting! When you meet her, ask her about the time she swam with manta rays on the Big Island, Hawaii. Or, you know, don’t. But she will probably tell you all about it anyway!

TRENISE loves a good fun fact. Did you know that the Appalachian Mountains are older than the rings of Saturn? Or that butterflies taste with their feet? Or that the Eiffel Tower was initially created for the city of Barcelona, not Paris? Trenise did. She aspires to be an Armchair Jeopardy Champion, knowing a little bit about everything and proudly counting all of her imaginary winnings.

While the average person reads about 12 books a year, TRENISE is far from average. She reads about 100 books a year, and if you give her time, she’ll tell you about her favorites. Trenise takes pride in telling people: “I learned it in a book!” and wants to inspire kids to find as much joy in reading as she does.
